[SOME SPOILERS!!] Not gonna lie. The story isn’t for everyone. But with anyone with a very high emotional IQ, they would appreciate this type of game. It is a true masterpiece. The story reminded me of a true classic Shakespearean tale... full of tragedy, struggles, and betrayals. People say it’s a game of revenge... and yes, that’s on the surface level from what you see in the game. But the entire game had a deeper meaning of what it means to be human. To be or not to be... that is the true question. And that was the struggle / point with Ellie’s story... hence the story doesn’t end with her getting her revenge. People missed that. They were more pissed that main characters died (lame!) The story also had a lot of character development for both Ellie and Abby, which I appreciated. They took their time with the story to which many times I thought, “Oh this is definitely the end” but then had another 6 hours of gameplay to go.. which was a nice surprise. This game will definitely be nominated game of the year. I found it a lot better than the first game. The first game was a bit linear to me. While this game was a little bit more dynamic. The acting was amazing as well. To show so much emotions through the eyes of a computer is not an easy thing to do. I would recommend this game to others.
