Mr. Phoenix`s performance was honest and self righteous in his own right. The idea of a man rejected from society descending into madness shows how the character can test an actors performance. His performance was dark and surreal that I found the audience gripping their seats next to me. When his character would snap on screen, I found his performance convincing and damaging because he used his own personal experience to transform the nature of a man suppressed by society. I would say this film was dark and translucent, plaguing on the motif of loss and death. This film sends out a message about addressing the mental health crisis that is plaguing the world and lets hope this film will spark a change. Overall, Excellent performance.
