If you guys have watched Gultoo and liked it...this movie core concept is the same...but what it lacks is casting / screenplay / dialogues...
No offence to the director who also stars as the protagonist...but the making of the film gives the vibes of mix between shaantam papam tv show from color tv channel and a good short film.
Production values clearly show they were under-funded, and dialogues are too bland, more serial-type.
Pros :
> No beating around the bush, plot focuses directly to the point
> 2nd half better than 1st and gets more interesting as you keep watching
> No female cast and thus no unnecessary or forced romantic drama or any type of feminism shown
> Hacking and Deep Web Concept handled & explained briefly well, especially non-technical folk will understand easily
> Has a good social message
> Director / Actor : Suresh has done a commendable job
Cons :
> Too Lengthy, with no Commercial elements, nothing which will make you go to a theatre to watch, rather you can watch this sitting at your home
> As a security analyst, i found many issue with how they depicted hackers here, with their exploits and nature, no hacker will perform an exploit with his original IP and will definetly use proxies or tor to remain anonymous
> Protagonist being too lucky almost all the time, which is not the case in real life, Plot is very convenient to him
> Dialogues are too shallow
> No BGM and Cinematography is below average
> Family audience or regular Kannada moviegoers may not like it
Verdict :
> Overall, KFI is heading in the right direction, and what Suresh has done here is a decent initiative, hoping to see him take better projects hereon at a mugh higher level and minimize cons from above.
