This is the epitome of a terrible game. I would rather smother my own infant child than act as if I had anything positive to say about this sad attempt at a video game. The mechanics are complete trash, if dark souls and the batman video game series had a shameful love child they tried to ditch in a dumpster this game's combat system would be it. The leveling mechanic is the worst that I think could have been implemented into anything that has come to any console. How do you level up you may ask? Is it combat or possibly quests? Nope, it's talking to people. Talking to people is how you are able to progress your character's abilities. Not battling the robotic hunters or random vampires that stalk the streets. I've never played a game with such a God awful speed to the point where I could care less what ending I got as long as it ended. If you find yourself contemplating playing this game, put your head in the refrigerator and slam it. The headache you will receive from that action will pale in comparison to what this game will leave you with.

The two redeemable things about this game are the music and the nostalgia. The rest is either lack luster or unforgivable. The is a guessing game when it comes to platforming with the boost mechanic being a drunken man's attempt at a dash. The story is the same as always of kill demons, demons are bad. Upgrades are same as before with a slight different skinning of the same weapons from all the others. The only thing I miss from the last is the pistol so I could at least still kill when completely out of ammo. This title wasn't needed for the series. They should have just left it with three good games and a bad one not three good games and two bad ones. Know when to fold your cards Bethesda should have folded years ago.
