I can't emphasize enough how beautiful, captivating, and sensitively created this documentary is. I cried, I related to the subtle parallels and analogies that Craig Foster carves out to drive home the message of powerful resilience through his friend, Miss Octopus's journey. It is also a beautiful tale of friendship and belonging where she welcomes him into her world and warms up to him when she can trust him enough. The vulnerabilities of the sea-world are so beautifully captured and portrayed; encapsulating the many emotions- such as sadness, fear (caused by the threat of perpetual danger), love and sensitivity for the marine life. On a personal note, it reminded me of my friendship with my cats and how exceptional it felt to win their trust and love. There is so much that the wildlife gives/teaches us and we should never take that for granted. Such interactions have unparalleled transformative power and Foster's " Octopus Teacher does just that for him. Must watch!
