I love it and I really like the direction Pokemon is taking with this. The game actually feels constantly filled with something to do rather than camping in the grass leveling up a single Pokemon. I’ve played every generation of Pokemon and this is the first time I felt inclined to “catch em all.” I love being able to see who I can catch/battle in the grass. I disliked the randomness from prior games. The only disappointment is I would like is to be able to port every Pokemon from previous generations. Besides that, for absolute new comers, this game is perfect. I do have the same complaints as many other long time players. The animations are slacking... Lack of story... Lots of features removed... How ever, this is their first real game on the switch(Lets Go Pikachu was a total flop imo). Hopefully future games will improve on top of this.

Its just Pokemon Go, but with a story. You don’t really battle much. Its nothing like the mechanics from all the main line Pokemon games on the DS(Pearl, Platinum, Black, Moon...). I really had the impression that it would be a continuation. Its a whole new game, but extremely simple. Would probably bore a child.
