Vastly superior to the Whedon film, with greater emotional depth, more fully realized characters, and a more coherent vision.
It may lag a bit in places and the ending(s) were a bit piecemeal. But, those minor missteps are easily forgivable, when weighed against the overall entertainment value of this greatly improved movie. Highly recommended.
