For me, it’s the relatability that makes the show so entertaining. Others comparing it to Seinfeld and Friends are comparing apples to oranges —the only similarity is that they are sitcoms. Those shows ARE hilarious but they represent single life in NYC before the craziness of married-with-children life. ELR is about what happens AFTER the fun single days, and it’s every bit as funny as the other great sitcoms of the 90s. It may not resonate with everyone, of course, but I can find something to relate to in almost every single episode — and laugh about it! It’s a show I can watch multiple times over and still find very amusing. Oh, and the entire cast is absolutely stellar. Still sad it’s over 15 years later lol
