I’m really surprised by the 5 star reviews. The story is obviously an interesting one but the film is pretty dull. It just felt like it never scratched the surface of what was clearly an interesting life. The timelines felt totally disjointed. One part where she apparently saves a French girl from being raped by an American soldier is just completely pointless and adds nothing to the film.

It’s as though the team who made Eldorado were given another chance! And who was responsible for the sound? Although they are speaking English it sounds like it’s being dubbed. Poor acting and direction. Watched 2 episodes in the hope it might improve but it didn’t.

Spoiler Alert!!! Enjoyed the film all the way through. Trying to work out how he managed come back after 10 years after what had happened to him. Then it turns out he’s a devil or demon or ghost or something come to save his son. So no real twist as such to my mind just a simple solution to the issue of how he came back. But if his desire was to redeem his son why wait 10 years?!

So dull I almost wanted to watch the Green Knight again. Just a rambling film of daft ‘Viking’ ceremonies followed by lots of shouting and gore. Why couldn’t Skarsgard just stand up straight? Wandered around with his head hung low and arms spread wide as though he had a couple of tennis balls under his arm pits. Accents were so random, some Scottish, some Irish and then some faked Skandinavian ones too. Just plain dull. But I was bored watching The Batman so don’t necessarily take too much notice!

Wooden, stilted and no passion. Actors going through the motions.
