The movie was good, casting was phenomenal, but how tf do you miss out on some of the biggest cinematic moments that the book had offered, such as Abra’s mother and the sobriety anniversary. Everything was great right up until the Overlook. The book was amazing and wonderfully written, I wish the movie had followed more with that script. I just watched the movie, after finishing the book, and as they say the book is always better. I am angry with the movie and appalled that they would follow script right up until the ending where they just decided to do whatever the hell they wanted, which is fine, just not what I feel was deserved. Good movie, but if you’ve read the book prepare to be in disbelief. Rant over.
