My husband and I are both watching it. Neither of us have read the book or seen any of the previous tellings of the story so we don't have anything to compare it to. Which I think may be a plus because we are really enjoying it - the characters are great and it is VERY Stephen King, swinging between good and evil and light and dark (and having just finished binge watching TWD and FTWD, I'm happy there are no zombies with the exception of the guy who chomped on his dead bunkmate's leg in prison) and the struggle that is within us all to make the right choice. Also - crazy that SK envisioned a "flu like" pandemic all those years ago given our current predicament . . .
