Once you get past seeing the Dude, pay attention to the detail of the period. Lots of sex, none of it gratuitous. A coming of age movie with the closing of an era.

Worth a look if you are willing to invest the time and concentration. Great acting and well developed characters each with their individual “foolishness”

An odd choice for talented Octavia Spencer, Juliette Lewis and Allison Janney. Must have thought it a promising horror suspense film. More of a Forgettable B grade high school picture.
