I've read the poem (tolkien's translation) and I've seen the movie. Just read the poem. Not sure what the "goal" of this adaptation was. I'm guessing it was to flip the "chivalry" on its head and, or be edgy in some ways. It wasn't. The source material has lasted for literally hundreds of years. I'm not saying you do a word for word movie.... But maybe don't spit on the original. Which is what this did. All do respect to the actors and visuals. But whoever chose what to change.... I don't know, just my opinion but please please read the prom. So much. Better.
