It may not exactly be a masterpiece, but it depicts some horrors that could actually come with genetic splicing. People are bashing on the amount of sexual scenes in the movie, but if a creature exists and rapidly develops, it will highly likely exhibit sexual behavior because it's mind is set on finding a mate. I personally find the movie to be quite interesting and kind of spooky when I dwell on some of the ideas put into the movie.
