This is the Tumbaad of 2019. Criminally under-marketed and lost amidst a stream of some supremely useless movies (Houseful 4)
You will read a lot of negative reviews from so called "critics" in media outlets. God knows why.
Just read what actual viewers on Google reviews are saying.
This one is for the ages. It's set it in a never before explored part of India's history - post Battle of Buxar. Rohillas, Marathas, English, Mughals.. all are fighting for supremacy. Death plagues the entreity of the nation. Amidst all this a Naga Sadhu cum Bounty Hunter (Saif) roams the lands of Bundelkhand, Banda, Awadh in search of his revenge that will be his salvation. Clashing in his path are all kinds of characters. A mysterious widow (Zoya Hussian), a tracker (Deepak Dobriyal - another feather to his cap), Marathas, scheming Englishmen
The screenplay gives nothing away. It takes its time but keeps you intrigued as well. Until the last shot, you will still keep asking how, why. The attention to detail is splendid. Nothing feels out of place or artificial. Nothing superficial, no glossing over.
This is raw, tough tough as nails revenge drama that a movie lover will enjoy
