If your on the fence about this game, don't bother with it as it's likely what you expect. There are people who will love this and they know who they are but I recommend anyone who is unsure to just skip over it. If however this sounds like the type of game you would enjoy just based on the description, you should probably go for it. If your concerned this style is dull and repetitive, you probably will find it so. If you think it's all about finding an optimal route that you just repeart, your right. The only thing that did suprisr me and utterly bores me about this game and the reason for the 1 star vs 3 is the fact you spend most of your time just running to stuff and not actually fighting. This was supposed to be a fast paced souls game I thought and yet I can't think of a more sparsely populated experience in the entire series. Don't get me wrong, the map is semi dense but the point of the game is to ignore 90% of it and just run a semi optimal route, honestly would be better if it was just a long hallway with random mobs, atleast you could avoid playing parkour half the time that way. I truly believe the main reason for the sales figures for this game is due to the name Elden Ring being bolted on, if this was released without any souls links (new bosses, mobs etc) and with a new name, I doubt it would have hit 100k sales and likely wouldn't have had much publicity which is why I call this a cash grab, I don't mind re using the assets, makes sense but selling this as part of the elden ring universe feels like a scam to push sales for a very mid game. I should add however ignore the fortnite references, there is a ring that closes in but I wouldn't say the game plays like fortnite. I wish I could list some pros other than it's fun with friends, but this is just gonna end up a random game you pop on every 3 to 6 months with your friends for a couple runs. And at the price point? Not horrendous but still shouldn't be the price it is, half price would make more sense. The only other positive is the day 3 bosses are fun, just a shame about the dull as hell 30 minute walking simulator you have to endure each time.

This is the worst game I have ever played, even cyber punk 2077 on release day was better than this. It’s hugely overhyped and 99% of the game is walking and climbing stuff for reasons you can’t be bothered to read just to be told to go walk somewhere else and climb some more stuff. Slow, empty and boring. I feel robbed buying this game.

Ruined by micro transactions, don’t bother buying it

Game is ok and can be enjoyable, but when everyone I play with including myself is experiencing constant crashing and bugs it makes it pointless. When playing with friends we now have a ritual of restarting the game every 3 games to try and limit the amount of crashes. How the hell do they get away with releasing a game in this state at £50, I have played alpha release games more stable than this.
