Bix Stearman

This film really gets the tone right and is charming. The story is stronger for being fairly simple especially when you are launching a re boot that looks really promising. I wasn't really a DC film fan before but will keep an eye out now. Superman himself is very well realised and sincere and you may well develop a crush on them.

I am not generally a fan of what is set up as a slasher film but was intrigued at how they'd handle the characters, either sent to or working at a conversion centre. Could easily be done badly but despite some early misgivings it was all handled quite well, including having a film with a non binary central character. As someone else mentioned in retrospect you might appreciate how some things played out, so reserve judgement to the end. It is a slow builder and quite character focused, if you just want murder after murder it's probably not for you.

Does what it says on the tin. Visually it works well but I didn't really feel anything for the characters.

This was such a well written film, and well filmed, I can only assume bad reviews are from people either low on humanity or intellect, or both. I laughed whilst I still had tears on my face from a previous scene, there are small details and phrases that set things up to really make you feel the highs and lows. Just fantastic.

Go in with no expectations, watch a story unfold, be troubled, be moved, enjoy a few twists, very moving film, really left me thinking about what I'd just watched, that's good cinema!
