I thought it was going to be like White Lotus and I would just hate watch totally obnoxious rich people with no morals who would never experience any consequences for anything. Then it turned into a decent mystery. It was fun to joke with my wife about how horrid the characters were, but there was enough comic relief to keep it all from getting too intense. The cops provided some good, normal human grounding to counterbalance the bat shit crazy family the story centers on. There were a few things I was hoping would happen that actually did unlike the frequent ending in current shows where everything turns to shit and nothing works out.

Outstanding. This was the best T.V. I have seen in years. I was mesmerized by the characters, the history, the customs, the scenery and the setting. The story had a powerful emotional impact on me. Two of the lead characters - Mariko and Toranaga - are unforgettable.

It's much better than the Rotten Tomatoes reviews. There is heart and humanity at its core, though some find it overly bleak. I appreciated the acting, the writing and the story.

I love this show. It's funny, the characters are great and it has a big heart.

Saw the reviews and had high hopes. The premise of someone with memory loss putting pieces of a mystery together was clever but the movie was really slow and boring. The time jumps kinda gave me a headache.

I really enjoyed it. Yes, beautiful latinas falling for a grizzled 90-year-old stretches credibility, but I suspended a little doubt for the sake of enjoying a good tale. I think we need more stories and less adapted comic books so for me it gets points just for that. It was fun watching Clint. The scenes with the Mexican family were hearwarming and heartfelt. The movie has a good message that resonated with me.
