*im sorry for any spoilers if so*
so... finished this book yesterday, and all i can say is that it had me crying hard a few times (im very rigid to crying so yeahh) and no other book has been able to do that so that's a great job at expression of emotions by the author. it made me go into julie's shoes and think of how hard it must be lose sam and his belongings and to move on. this book does teach about moving on and enjoying the present and not to plan/hesitate about the future. -1 star because at sometimes i felt that the author didn't provide complete explanation to things. like were the calls real or not, how mika and james could hear sam, how did they text each other when they didnt have numbers (at the start), how did julie's mother never worry about what her daughter is doing like yk a concern (if id go random places without my mom knowing, she'd throw me out), the language could've been a lil advanced ig. the expression of the places and the moments that sam and julie shared was sooo good that i could literally imagine being there, also, the friendship and bond of julie and mika moving at the end was so pretty tbh. one factor that no one talked about is that it did give the lessons of rejection (colleges) and how bullies (taylor and liam) can be at the toughest moments. the last goodbye had me in tears ngl. at the end i was expecting romantic turns with tristan but that didnt happen (couldve made it nicer for me idk). also, i could highly relate to the mid part where julie was losing interest and becoming lonely and stopped interaction. overall, its a nice short read to let your emotions out through a book!
