Hemlock Island started out with a bang, initially I was drawn in. The book doesn't build up or get into character development. I got to page 222, I could not finish it. The book made no sense half way through. Too many pointless conversations that revolve around the relationships of the characters and that bothered me, because they should be scared with a so called murder on the loose. Once I started getting bored I had to breeze along most of the stupid dialog of the characters who seemed more concerned with gossip and talking about the past. The premise of being trapped on an island with murders happening seemed like a good plot that any good writer could take in any direction. Yet, it was a bore fest of the dynamics of everyone's relationship issues. Yawn. After reading other people's reviews the ending was disappointing, the author keeps things vague as to who the killer is human, super natural, what?? Im happy to put the book down for good.๐
