it definitely shines the light on the truth of the aftermath of such a horrific tragedy. i was only 5 years old when the event took place but as so grew up, i was told and believed that Katrina was the one who did the most damage but now knowing that everyone could’ve survived just the initial impacts on Katrina and finding out that they didn’t because of the levees and how the government reacted breaks my heart. i’ve always had no trust to in the trust but this.. this documentary has definitely put more nails in the coffin for me. 20 years later, my heart still goes out to those who’s lost their lives and who are STILL rebuilding their lives.
