Much more than a horror story, as it is so blended with real life trauma, which makes it completely unique. The characters were amazing too, and I missed them when the series was finished. Really powerful and eerie. The beautiful music adds to the mood as well.

Not a bad film. Parts of it were good. If only some of the characters weren't so caricature and stereotyped! It seemed out of place and brought the film down.

This series is so unlike other prison shows I've seen, where the focus seems to be on violence for violence sake. Orange is the new Black shows a lot of the women's backgrounds, and demonstrates how impossible it is for just about anyone to hold their head above water in an environment built around extreme power and control. The characters are developed tenderly, and I had many emotional reactions. It was disturbing, shocking, very funny in parts, and extremely moving.

Beautiful film, in all its darkness. There was something so universal, realistic, sad, tragic and profound about it. Perhaps it is the meeting point at which many diverse societal factions intersect, based on its very broad appeal and wildly different affiliations. Anyone who didn't like it or appreciate it, obviously just doesn't get it.

Why, oh why, did she go back to the original dimension??! She didn't need to.
