The character development is outstanding, where they use another character's flaw to cover each other and keep progressing over time, lots of obstacles aren't solved by only the MC Instead all of the characters play equally important roles to help each other out. this anime also include some of the self-emotional problems such as insecurity, depression, betrayal, friendship, denial, trustworthiness, guilt, which is very normal and easy to understand theme-based for normies and can be described as a story that fit for anyone that is very emotional and seek for an emotionally based tv show. there will be a chance that you'll laugh because of stupidity, and other plots that will make you cry, and there's a chance the story becomes heartwarming to be enjoyable. while watching, I could say that I'm out of my focus state while watching it because I didn't get used to series without romance/ adventure/ or action-based genre, but this anime still able to hook me up every time I'm getting downhill.
by saying those things, some lines were not intended to be sad, but It is so relatable that tore me, especially to the new generations as well, where it is more of a feeling of afraid about everything, the afraid of not being successful, and more of teenagers worry that slightly overcome by the group of girls.
the Seiyuu a.k.a voice actor is very heartwarming to listen to, especially the MC, I love the part that it is very warming to listen to her voice when she talks about discourse or talking about things intimately. it feels like she's talking to us directly with that anime-style of VA with various intonation comparing to the other anime outside( not saying the other is bad it's just the type of intonation she used does fit really well in this category of anime). the other seiyuu of this group of girls also done a very well job. Not forget to mention the other VA also done an excellent job to make the character more lively, however, I doubt to say this but, the shirase is lacking performance at the emotional part, I don't want to emphasize that, could maybe my lack of understanding of the story, but IMO it feels something could have done better to make it perfect or better in some way.
the tear-jerking part(DW no spoiler is crucial) relating to the one I wrote above, I would hope that they put an inner voice while she was looking at it, just to stress more the emotional feeling and could use the better song(the song is just fine, but I feel it just needs more)
not forget to mention, the animation itself is on point, there's no lazy drawing for the character and the views, the camera direction is well planned, as well as the depth of field, color grading. it is enough to satisfy the eyes of viewers, but IMO if they took Kyoto animation directing style, probably it will be way emotional. but the rest scene is well built and perfect enough to enjoy.
my overall rating is 9.5/10 or 4.8/5 it is very enjoyable to watch, very heartwarming, the visual looks stunning as well, and no need for questioning about the plot.
