Overall, I found it to be an enjoyable show. My wife was very disappointed by Episode 6 and the eating of the communion wafers with jam in a Catholic church. You ask the usual question, why did they go after the Catholics and make fun of them? Would they do the same episode in a Islamic Mosque? Of course not, because the writer's life would be in actual jeopardy. It seemed in the last episode that everything was going to wrapped up fairly well with Coop get his job back with some very nice financial rewards and recognition. But, then it shows him back out planning to break in and steal from his neighbor's homes. Unrealistic ending for a man who recently was under arrest for suspicion of murder. He would not go in that direction.

I never saw the original series, but the plot sounded interesting. After watching the first two episodes, I can see it's NOT my type of program. The principal writer is black but last night show where they start singing black "protest" songs seems to be way out of line. The very mean guards/police are basically the only white players with the exception of a white husband. I have a feeling that the audience will diminish week after week. As said, the concept is good, but not a very interesting program to watch each week.

Interesting concept and I enjoyed the program. I was surprised about the extent of a black cast in this first episode. Basically, the only white cast members were the police/military and they weren't very nice at all. This arrangement really surprised me in the first episode of a new series in attracting an audience. We'll see what episode 2 looks like.
