For the cricket madness I have, I read this book very late. I bought this few years back, but could only read cover to cover this month. i have been reading on cricket since 1983. This is one of the best I have read, Great research and insight by Sri Sandeep Bamzai. Excellent account of the Bombay cricket and the way he started around the peak of late 60's and 70's and then going back and forth in time, very interestingly and absorbingly told. The grit and determination of Bombay Cricket has great lessons for all, not just in cricket but for anything in life. Sandeep has become a favorite cricket writer for me along with Sunil Gavaskar, R Mohan, Raju Bharatan, Harsha Bhogle etc. I am going to start and read all his writings, even those other than cricket. His book on Gavaskar and Tendulkar, next on my list. And of course the one that is coming up now on Nehru, Patel and Mountbatten, I can't to wait to read that. Good Luck to Sandeep for all his future works!
