This is such an accurate portrayal of DV and the systems surrounding it; broken systems that are meant to assist but overwhelm and often are a huge reason the victims return to the abusers. My mother was a victim who escaped with me when I was 2 - her saving grace was a supportive family that assured she didn't have to return to her abuser's home (to be fair it was 1967 and there were really no programs for DV back then). Not all victims have any support system...Essentially the level of reality in this limited series makes me sad that we aren't already doing better.

Entertaining and has moments of surprising twists that don't try to make a huge splash; instead the brilliance is the subtle way it hits you.
