The movie speaks to many emotions of England and maybe the whole world during this era. At that time in England it was almost impossible to divorce and you see the result of his parents misery taken out on Elton. Homosexuality wasn't just verbally condemned but was punishable by prison. It also shows how the shy but talented are taken advantage of by agents, managers, families, and friends. Elton John built a wonderful family life in spite of it all. I cried, laughed and sang along during the whole movie. It will be a must buy for me.
