Casually decided to watch this show and ended up finishing the series in 2 days. While Summer is a very flawed character to begin with, we really see a lot of growth over the series from her and the other characters. The setting is beautiful and of course the surfing aspect adds a lot of fun and interest.

I really enjoy this show and hope it gets renewed for a second season. I find that most negative reviews are coming from people that were fans of doogie houser, which I have never watched, so I had no expectations in that regard. I am older than the target audience, but enjoy watching it. I grew up with Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens, but once Hannah Montana came around, Disney shows got super annoying. In my opinion, they've done a great job of making a new show that has an interesting family dynamic, and isn't over-the-top goofy.
