If you played Mario Strikers Charged, I would not get this game. It is a massive disappointment. If never played Mario Strikers Charged and want a party soccer game than it could be worth it. But there is no unlockable content, arenas are ridiculously small and there are 10 playable characters instead of 20ish in charged. The cups don't even have a linear progression, its "play teams that shoot or teams that pass." Also the charging of the ball is ridiculous. "Pass combos" are just one pass, everyone has the same abilities, theres no cool skill shots. Goalkeeper minigame went from being exciting to a button mash contest. Ridiculous how much potential this game had., but there was no effort put into it.

So many of you are ridiculous in your reviews. "Oh no mega evolutions?Only gen 1-4 pokemon?" Thank god. Im so glad they stayed true to the remake. They kept gyms the same level as prior games, but with exp share and affection system, they should've increased them. However a lot of trainers are skippable, and if you complain about being 10 levels too high but spend 90% of your time catching mons in the underground, what do you expect?? Great remake honestly, stayed true to the originals and didn't add the megadynafartcum battles. Only complaint is you can't turn off exp share. If you're an og, it won't have the charm of the original of course, but it is the best game ive played since black/white tbh.
