Having a great surgeon narrate an intricate operation, with the outcome uncertain, and unexpected obstacles encountered, would create the intensity, and wonder, which most every episode of GRAND DESIGNS achieves as it explores and documents the creation of various homes, each presenting construction, design, and financial challenges. An added bonus is to be in the presence of some exquisitely beautiful landscape and interior decoration. I found this compulsively enjoyable.
