This entire movie was essentially a dialogue between two men in a prison cell. Talk about low budget, uneventful and by zero means, NOT a horror film. It’s a psychological thriller (not really thrilling more like drama).
Spoilers:
I understand what the movie was aiming for. I don’t like that the film took place in one setting 99% of the time. Essentially this inmate (alleged to be a demon) who is on death row & is set to be executed that evening. He has a dissociative disorder, or at least that’s what the medical field would claim it to be, as a way to justify his abnormal/malicious behavior in society (killed people). The inmate is being interviewed by a psychiatrist who will evaluate whether he’s mentally insane or sane enough to be executed. This inmate switches back & forth between “the demon” & the actual person in the inmates body via personality. The inmate persona is a sad, innocent man with a bad speech impediment & the demon persona is a brilliant/intelligent, ‘all knowing’ entity who is an articulate speaker. The inmate/demon claims that he chose the psychiatrist who’s interviewing him & the whole movie was the inmate/demon explaining what he wants the psychiatrist to do and why he brought him there which was to write his book aka the dark gospel/bible for the devil. I mean, the overall arching theme is that there exists “good & evil” in the world & the evil in this world is trying to take Gods power etc.
Several discrepancies that didn’t make sense. My opinion, they’re trying to be different, smart/witty & clever. Kinda like what the creators of “Skinamarink” did. (Honestly that movie was one of the top worst I’ve seen) but yeah….i think anyone who likes this film is an idiot. Sorry not sorry.
