Bhaukal is one time watch- its doesnt create a niche for its own given the crime series space is crowded with better series like Patal lok, Mirzapur or Jamtara. The series seems promising in the first episode. However, it loses the steam as the series progresses..becomes stale and perdictable. While core starcast is decent, the dialogues lack punch and characters look half baked. e.g. when there is face to face verbal exchange between protagonist and the villian or retort to a news reporter. Director has not created his own style or identity- you can see lot borrowed from GOW and other crime series. The attention to detail is lacking and so is consistency- hero's squad sometimes have machine guns sometimes old rifles ( revolvers are amiss given supplement to old rifles..insteal all have pistols). I first event where protagonist strikes terror in the heart of villian is so weak that you feel silly how villian can feel threatened given his crimes are way more gory. Looks like its half hearted attempt. 2.5 is all I can give as a rating.
