👍 My gf forced me to sit and watch this show with her. I hate sitcoms and rom-coms. But to humor her, I sat and watched EMILY IN PARIS Season 1 episode 1 and 2. That was 3 days ago. I'm now up to episode 6 and I'm not even watching it with my gf 😆 I'm hooked to this show. I love the concept. I love the girls. I love the villains. I even like those french horn-dogs always looking to bed the women. But, most of all, I LOVE EMILY ❤️ She's everything a guy wants. She's innocent but not really. She's pretty but not vain. She's funny but not a comedian. She's smart but not brilliant. Basically, the entire show is a supremely entertaining guilty pleasure. I'd never admit to my friends that I watch it. But, I look forward to the next episode just to smile and chuckle. Creator/Producer DARREN STAR has kept me entertained before (With reruns of his Beverly Hills 90210) and turned me off before (never liked Sex and the City) but here with EMILY he has me won over again. 🤫 Just don't tell anybody, Not even my gf 😄

NIGHTMARISH, SURREAL, GOTHIC are the words that make "The First Omen" a very unique change from any connection to the other Omen movies in this 50 year franchise. If it wasn't for the last 20 mins you wouldn't even know this was connected to The Omen Films. This movie is more like a cross between Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA (1977) and Roman Polanski's ROSEMARY'S BABY. What makes it different is the way it's filled with hypnotic dream sequences, disturbing visions, classic gothic imagery, and absolutely stunning performances. Miss Free is absolutely superb in the title role of innocent new nun Sister Margaret. Legendary actress Sonia Braga is mesmerizing as Mother Abess the head nun. The locations in Rome are elaborate and nightmarish all at the same time. The first two thirds of the movie is deeply compelling and filled with mystery and conspiracies. By the last third the movie then goes crazy similar to how this year's THE SUBSTANCE with Demi Moore did. Over-the-top stuff never works as well as subtle horror does. But they know they've got to give the mainstream crowd their thrills too. All in All a very impressive movie that is probably the best one in this 50 year franchise

The Third Film In The X Trilogy is the Most Expensive but also the Weakest. Practically No Suspense, No Tension, No Horror, Not Much Of Anything Really.... MIA GOTH is good as usual but like everyone in the film they just wonder around not doing much of anything. There is not a thing to be frightened of in this movie from beginning to end. This makes the original movie X seem like a horror masterpiece by comparison. The 1980's music here is fun. The re-creation of 80's streets and nightlife is great. Movie Studio stuff is good with what seems to be the Universal Studios backlot, and the finale around the Hollywood sign is slick. Yet, if any movie ever proved that a Bigger Budget does NOT make a better film... Then This Is It!! The first two films X and PEARL were both infinitely better at 1/3rd the cost.

EXTREMELY UNIQUE MOVIE EXPERIENCE 🎬 When "VENUS" ends you'll be saying to yourself "I've never seen a movie like this before" (and in today's world of remakes and reboots and sequels...that alone is good) How to explain VENUS? Well, the closest I can tell you is to mix the unlikely ingredients of movies like : SICARIO, SUSPIRIA, and HEREDITARY... and add some female empowerment elements with some toxic masculinity, and you come close to this bizarre cocktail. It's violent, it's grim, it's disturbing, it's action filled, And it's WEIRD TOO. *(One quick scene alone... The appearance of the "Obese Lesbian Demon From Hell" in itself turns this movie instantly into a Cult Status Movie)* Even the ending will take you by surprise making you question how serious the director actually was... or was he playing mind games with you. A Definite Must See Original Experience

TREMENDOUS SUSPENSE THRILLER... Movies like this invented the phrase "Edge Of Your Seat". What starts off as a pleasant Italian Vaction of families meeting at a resort hotel, turns into a step-by-step decent into sheer TERROR. The slow build up of hints and thoughts that all isn't quite normal, makes you uneasy from the start. Reminding the viewer that you must always go with your intuition about things AND NEVER WORRY ABOUT BEING EMBARRASSED BY LOOKING RUDE. Everyone in the cast (including the superb performances by the two children) are powerful players. The direction is as tight as it can possibly be. The last 30 mins is absolutely nerve-wracking. The way the movie instills a lust-for-violence within the viewer is in itself disturbing. A MUST-SEE SURVIVAL SHOCKER

ODDITY, is the perfect title, because this movie IS AN ODDITY ITSELF. It's one of those movies that's neither fish nor foul. It's an old fashioned murder mystery mixed with some supernatural odd circumstances. None of it is very effective however because of one main flaw..The characters keep acting stupidly and making stupid decisions. Many times during the movie you want to just scream at the character and say "JUST LEARN TO SAY NO STUPID". However, none of the characters on screen learn their lesson and keep doing what they're asked to do, or told to do. On the plus side, the film has a moody eerie feel to it. A few good jump scares too. At the end you don't think or remember much of it though. It's not going to get under your skin like SINISTER did, or like HEREDITARY did, or like TALK TO ME does. It's not that good by any standard. But, on a cold dark night with the lights off in your living room and watching it alone, it might give you a tickle or two 😆

🏆 Horror Details Make For A Movie Masterpiece Worthy Of Kubrick's Best Films. Here is a horror film FILLED TO THE BRIM WITH INTENTIONAL EASTER EGGS 🪺 It's Easy to describe this unforgettable little work of pure art. Mix the very best images from Iconic Horror Cult Movies like : SINISTER, ROSEMARY'S BABY, THE EXORCIST, SUSPIRIA, THE SENTINEL, and even foreshadowing a future film like LONGLEGS, then you will have some idea of what you're in for. HEREDITARY is so filled with visual clues and puzzles that it may take you 3 to 4 viewings to possibly find just half of them (AFTER viewing it you could also simply cheat and read one of the many articles written about it called "Secret Images In HEREDITARY That You May Have Missed" and those articles will break it down for you) This film is like a huge jigsaw puzzle for what it barely shows you, seldom shows you, and never spoon feeds you. It's definitely all in there, but you must WORK HARD TO FIND THE PIECES. Hollywood RARELY EVER makes films this deep, or grim, or ghastly. But this film is one for the ages, and those scenes in it that pay honor to all those cult classic movies mentioned above... only makes HEREDITARY that much more Brilliant.

STUNNING.... JUST STUNNING SCIENCE-FICTION SHOCKER.. "THE SUBSTANCE" is such a powerfully refreshing piece of horror cinema that it left me speechless. Mix One part DAVID CRONENBERG (go check out his movies "The Brood" and "Videodrome") and Two parts STANLEY KUBRICK (see "The Shining" and "2001 A Space Odyssey", "Clockwork Orange") and throw in a splash of "Countess Dracula", "The Hunger", "Dumplings" and "Mansion Of The Doomed" with some dark humor thrown in from John Water's "Female Trouble". With an Outrageous ending paying tribute to the Cult films : "Carrie", "Basket Case", "Society", "Dead-Alive" you mix all those in well, and you have this brilliantly directed, darkly humorous tale about : Narcissistic Obsession, Drug Addiction, Ageism, Misogyny, Cruelty, Greed, Self-Loathing, and Lust for Immortality. The performances by the incredibly brave and daring DEMI MOORE , and hilariously over-the-top DENNIS QUAID are both award worthy. The Special Effects and Cinematography are a tribute to all the cult movie masters. Just sit back and let this outrageous movie wash over you like a tidal wave. Easily the Best Sci-Fi Horror Movie of 2024

👍 Fascinating Direct PREQUEL to The original classic horror film ROSEMARY'S BABY (Seeing the original first will help you enjoy APARTMENT 7-A even more) The character Terri from ROSEMARY'S BABY here gets her own story that started way before ROSEMARY ever moved into the same apartment building later. The female director of APARTMENT 7-A has a great deal of love for Roman Polanski's original by having so many scenes and ideas in the new film paying tribute to the old one. She also adds in some ideas from "BLACK SWAN" and "SUSPIRIA" too. Actress DIANE WEIST gives an excellent interpretation of original Oscar Winning actress' RUTH GORDON'S character Mini Castevette. The film uses dream sequences and music very much in the same way Polanski's movie did. Both movies should be seen side by side with one another to fully enjoy them. This 2024 film is a great tribute to a movie that for 50 years has been recognized as one of the greatest classics of the horror cinema

THE LAST 30 MINS MAKE THE MOVIE WORTH SITTING THROUGH... This is a great Halloween Holiday Movie! Perfect for late night October get togethers with candy and treats. Not to be taken seriously and with a script that boarders on parody. This sometimes silly, sometimes effective vampire movie is harmless fun. The director isn't sure what he wants to make this movie. A Buffy-Style vampire adventure, or a campy vampire action film. Absolutely Fantastic Cinematography, Superb Locations, and a professional cast give the movie quality. While the Steven Spielberg style goonie-kids mystery solvers give it silly family appeal. However, by the last 30 mins this director SHOWS WHAT HE'S REALLY CAPABLE OF WHEN HE GETS SERIOUS and then the movie finally WAKES UP and shows you some power. That alone makes THIS 2024 Salem's Lot worth sitting through
