The interplay of War, Innocence, and Love To start with, it is not distinctive for a war novel, atypical for its theme, and yet does justice to the souls it is written for. As it intertwines fact and fiction and slowly glides you into the shoes of the tormented and the tormentors; and between the two lies the souls who want peace, harmony, and possibly are the saviors. This story, is about all of these people. More so it is the story of innocence, that which remains, amidst all odds. Heart-wrenching as it may be to encounter all the scars, the ones that are visible and the ones that are not. Yet, after all of these encounters, the author manages to exude hope; and that is what makes this read an exclusive one. Along with innocence, and hope, love remains too and is a constant. Read this factual fiction to evoke empathy within and to know the world a tad better.

I loved it cause it shows the non acceptable facets of love, that's forbidden or a taboo in the society. For example, falling in love or marrying a single mother, or with someone with a mental disorder. The portrayal of age is shown in dramatic ways, middle aged, old and how love changes its meaning with age. Love between homosexuals and them wanting to be parents is something that's rarely talked about. Moreover, I loved it cause, it's real and raw and no matter how ugly things get there's hope in each story. All the upheavals or darkness that life often offers can never stop love. Love eventually is ought to bloom.
