Certainly one of the best Netflix series ever. The story engages at the gut level of what it means to both decent and indecent human beings. It does so,in an essentially accurate historical drama that will open hearts and minds to thr realities that made America possible. The casting, the cinematography, sound, score and of course the fantastic acting should make this on a giant hit. The people who have it is boring&depressing have lost touch with their own humanity, and I am sorry for them. The series works on all levels: A sheer adventure story, with packed with scenes of action and some brutality. It also works a a deeply genuine magical, series of serial metaphors that cumulatively...say almost more than anyone could bear given the sheer abject stupididty of the way we treat each other. If there are no tears wanting to flow from your eyes when it ends...some part of your soul has become numbed.

Well written, acted and produced. Bingeworthy if you're bright, compassionate and interested in all aspects of the development of tech from the 80's to pretty much the present...the show stops at 95 but the themes are current. The main characters are so deeply developed that by the fourth season you feel like they are your old friends...overall the techie bits are far less important than the humanity and drama in the stories.

The Queen's Gambit displays a grand mastery of so much more than chess as it decisively captures your emotions and checkmates your mind across the board of all dimensions of what it means to be human. enJoy!!!

The sad reality is that the Trump presidency is not so far removed from what we see in this series. There is no doubt that we are on an incremental path towards a fascist dictatorship so long as Trump remains POTUS. His de facto alliance with Vladimir Putin is obvious to any informed honest observer. They are turds of a feather. It can happen here.
