So interesting that professional reviewers basically panned this simple, beautiful love story. No sex, no immodesty, no sleeze--just a feel-good morality play that plays well with anyone who values virtue and the ideal of "true love." Definitely has its flaws throughout, but well worth the time if you're a parent who wants to share and discuss a well-told tale with your younger kids.

This movie is an inspirational example of hard work, self-reliance and love. Wonderful chemistry between father and son.

Beautiful, funny, heartwarming film depicting how canines can truly bond with their human companions. While viewing this film, I remembered well the *many* wonderful dogs that have been a part of my life through the decades, my favorite being an amazing black Labrador with golden feet. Where have I been that I never saw this movie until now? Truly enjoyed the great script and performances that made Marley and Me come alive. Definitely a shout-out to a kinder, more idealistic world.
