Essential reading for parents of young girls
This was exceptionally well researched and well written, laying out very clearly the dangerous and damaging phenomena that is sweeping through the western world. A friend of mine is going through this with her 16 year old and the girls described in this book are virtual carbon copies of my friends daughter. A perfectly normal, bright girl doing well at school who started to suffer from anxiety and depression when she hit puberty. Years of eating disorders and self-harm have now turned into changing her name, cutting off her hair and desperately wanting 'top surgery' as soon as she turns 18. It is horrifying and devastating that any girl would want to mutilate their body in this way and that surgeons are more than happy to oblige. As a mother of a 11 year old girl, I am now more acutely aware of the dangers from social media and trans influencers/activists and just hope I can protect her from this insanity.
The author is not 'transphobic' or even a 'conservative', she is someone who has noticed a disturbing trend amongst young girls and decided to research it more thoroughly. Those people giving this a 1 star review are part of the extremist cult that is behind this phenomena and most haven't even read the book (some even admit that!). They are the same braying mob that pours hate over anyone daring to even raise questions, the same group that have demonised people like Martina Navratilova for daring to suggest that trans women have an unfair advantage over biological women in sport, the same group that find the term 'ladies & gentlemen' offensive! Ignore them, they are unfortunately very loud and visible but fewer in numbers than they think they are.
