The sun does not turn on and off every six months. you get shorter and shorter days as winter approaches. then several weeks of no sun rise. how long depends on location. it is not six months of darkness.

Overall I enjoyed the show. I think the ending was a bit predictable. It turned out almost exactly the way I predicted, even the very troubling end scene. Big problem with Kate pulling the trigger. That would have come out. The police still have to investigate the death. Kates prints would have been all over that house, not just the basement. Once she had the gun she could have locked him in the basement and called the police. How come Kate lets Mallory off the hook for the same thing that she shaped Jeanette for. I enjoyed the show but its got some problems.
