I too watched it when it first came out and pffffth, did I cry my eyes out with those different scenes. The actors did a very good job in the roles assigned to them. One could feel Maggie's pain, loneliness, anger, frustration, anxiety and the resentment she later felt after their son (Ralphs and hers) died when she told Ralph who he was to him. And now in watching again, yuph, memories are coming back.
