This book is very important in exposing the levels of bribery, corruption and sheer mendacity in the Nigerian health system and among civil servants involved in the care of neonates. There are examples, pages and pages of Professor Hippolite Amadi's troubles, trials and tribulations as the direct result of criminal officials, whom he holds responsible for the deaths of many neonates throughout Nigeria. It is a hard read, but it is hoped that his work will bring about the necessary changes in procurement, policy and practice.
