I've been playing this game in its various guises since 1984. My all-time favourite ever computer game. It's deep, immersive and beautiful in its execution. 400 billion stars are in the game and can visit them all. Take on the role of a trader, miner, pirate, explorer, ressearcher, mercenary and loads of others as you explore the galaxy, form alliances with other players, battle for control of start systems and earn credits to buy and upgrade a wide variety of ships. Elite is a game where you think you have played for 20 minutes only to find out 4 hours have gone by! If you can commit time to this game, then the rewards and satisfaction stay with you all your life, like it has with me!
