A show hinging on a thought-provoking scientific theory but spoiled by trite acting and a cliched plot of the unintended consequences of making contact with ET intelligent life. Ridiculous premise of a bunch of prodigies that are also dear friends, each that has an opportunistic skill set suited to solving the problem at hand. All of them good-looking, obviously, because who wants to see Stephen Hawking solve cosmic mysteries?! One, a nano-tech inventor and entrepreneur who ALONE can turn a computer on and off that suddenly turns on not just machines that produce a super-strong nanofiber (factually feasible) but also laboratory lights! I guess the clapper wasn’t available. And said process of turning on a computer alone is enough to produce miles of nanofiber that shreds a mega tanker - without help from other scientists and lab-workers. No wonder we consider Elon Musk to be a genius. If only science was this simple. Last straw was some 20-something putative prodigy lecturing a panel of Nobel laureate astrophysicists on how to achieve light speed. Most of all, I couldn’t stomach the actors and the acting. If you prefer realism, I do not recommend.
