I doubt the director and producers even read the series tbh. How many times is it said that Cassie has red curly hair and freckles? Welp here's a blonde with some waves in her hair. Her brother was said to be 5 right? That kid is closer to 12. So many details left out. The tone was wrong. The characters descriptions in the books apparently meant NOTHING because they don't match to the movie. At best this is subpar compared to a 2000s Disney movie
