I was initially surprised by all the negative reviews, but upon reflection, I can understand the criticism. I've never been a fan of Planet of the Apes, and I watched this film only because everything else had already started. To my surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The scenery was stunning, and I appreciated the portrayal of Noah's ignorance. The film realistically depicted the mistrust and survival instincts of one's own species.
