Non-Spoiler Review: Overall 8/10 Blue Beetle is a fantastic introduction for our Latino Superhero the Big Screen. Beyond my bias from being Latino, this movie is filled heart, family, emotion, comedy, and superhero action. Its a great introduction story for Jaime Reyes and his family. From start to finish, the Reyes family is the center of this movie and I love how their dynamic is explored. Xolo Maridueña shines as a superhero action star. His emotional and physical talent was very vital in this movie. Really, the anything with the Reyes family is perfect in this movie. The plot follows a very generic superhero formula that feels like Marvel (Iron Man, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Ant-Man). That's not to say plot is boring but just that the movies feels like you've seen some of these plot points in previous films. The villains are both pretty generic as well but they really convince you to dislike them and ultimately root for our hero. Honestly, because of how simple the plot is too follow, you can really just enjoy the family dynamic and comedy. The music and cinematography were pretty good. CGI is way better than the Flash which cost almost 2.5x more. I don't know where Blue Beetle fits in the DCU or DCEU but this is a great film.

I think this a good show. The writing and cinematography are fantastic. I did not play the games so I am not too familiar with the source material but I love movies and tv shows. I was excited when I heard Pedro Pascal would be casted as the main lead. The performances and characters in The Last of Us are amazing. The reason this does not get 5 stars is because I felt unsatisfied in the end. I understand the last episode is suppose to be a big deal and it just turns into a musical montage to save Ellie. I understand the writers and director wanted to create a drama and stay true to the source material, but I felt it could have ended with a bang. Definitely looking forward to season 2.

5/10 NONSPOILER REVIEW Like most MCU shows, this show has a great start. It definitely feels like a fresh start for the first 2 episodes. The main problem with this show for me is that Skrulls invading the world is an Avengers level threat or even a Captain America level threat. It's like this show is trying to make you understand the danger the world is in but wait we can't call the Avengers. Knowing that makes this show less important and serious. Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury has always been fun to watch, he definitely carries the whole show. I think Emilia Clarke was wasted and then making her the most powerful character in the MCU was stupid. Don't even get me started on the Skrull reveal for Rhodey. I really wanted to like this show. I wanted something new in the MCU. To be honest, because of how boring the show became, I stopped watching after episode 4.

6.5/10 NON SPOILER REVIEW This movie is a fun entry for young kids with very little knowledge of the Ninja Turtles. I am not a die hard fan who's read the comics but I grew up on the TMNT 2003 show and I've seen all the movies so these Turtles hold a special place in my childhood. That being said this is definitely a great introduction for new fans but I know the OG's might not enjoy everything this movie has to offer. Starting with the Turtles, I think Mikey was spot on. I wish they had more growth for Raph and Donatello. Raph never showed his rage nor did Donnie ever express his intelligence. Leo was pretty funny and definitely had that older brother feel to him. Now here is were it gets bad for me. Casting Jackie Chan as the voice actor for Master Splinter, I'd say that's almost perfect. Making Splinter look like a grandma rat that is nagging for his kids attention, not a great plan. April was a neat addition to the story, she has great chemistry with the team but because of the writers choice to make this very relevant for kids today, I missed the old reporter drive from April. She came across as more of a vlogger to me. For the villains, Superfly was the best part of the movie to me. Ice Cube was amazing. As for the plot of this movie, it feels like the director and producers didn't know if they were gonna get a sequel so it ends in way that feels like a happy ending. There's no Krang or Foot Clan, or Shredder but the movie doesn't feel like it lacks their presence because there are so many characters in this movie. Overall, this is a funny movie that I know kids will enjoy. The jokes are very main stream and pop culture but I'm not sure this will age well for everyone. In the end, it's a fun family watch.
