First off, I am a Frozen fanatic. The first offering was nothing short of amazing and trying to duplicate that would be a major undertaking. I was going into the second with reserved optimism hoping it would at least come close to the first.
The first gave visual effects that were breathtakingly stunning, a result of having Pixar in your stable of studios to learn from. The storyline was simply heartwarming. I've always loved how Disney can pull it off.
The second gave me everything the first one did....and more! I'm not saying it was better, just as good but more of it. I left the movie wanting to go back in and watch it again. If you loved the first, you'll be hard pressed not to love this as well. They took another step up in delivering breathtaking visuals. The song's stand on their own and the score drives the emotion as you join them on their journey.
This has every chance to match what the Toy Story movies did, each telling another chapter in the life of their main characters.
I'm hoping that it won't be another 6 years to see the next chapter of this family. Until then, I'll just be happy watching these two movies back to back.
