I read this book hoping to gain some insight into the opposite sex. I was aware of the many challenges presented to women by hormonal shifts, monthly, yearly, and over decades. After reading the book, I'm as confused as all of the characters in the book! Maybe this story illustrates the depth of confusion and emotions and illness we all suffer at the hands of our body chemistry. While not a "page turner", I was always anxious to pick it up again. I was intrigued by the characters. I was disappointed that nothing really happened. If a point was made, it was over my head.
