Ruud is great as always. Kate Mara is great as always...the main guy Tim Robinson...is an extremely socially awkward guy with no friends. Kate Mara plays his wife and right there- that's a problem - he could never pull Kate Mara in this incarnation...maybe if they had thought to make her a little bit frumpy and she gets her shit together and gets better looking throughout the movie similar to the Tula arc in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". Well they didn't do any of that. They also tease you with an affair she might be having but that never makes it to fruition as a plot point...the main character does too much stuff out of left field it's just too over the top for ANYONE...it doesn't have a gradual buildup to certain actions. He just does something normal followed by something really crazy. But it doesn't work, because it's too over-the-top crazy. It also ends a little bit weird. People who find this funny are weird. This was Uncomfortable cringe stuff. Maybe like "Curb Your Enthusiasm", but at least that show was actually funny. This has elements of a psychological terror that makes you feel like it's going to graduate into a psychological thriller- not a comedy; and it fails at going the route of EITHER. Nope. Fail.
