I somewhat-hopefully awaited Will Cain's arrival on his own show on Fox's 4pm slot. I have to say first, however, that I really miss Neil Cavuto. He had a great presence and owned the 4pm national news hour and I was very disheartened when he left. I have watched all of Will's shows and I have to say that his news-reporting seems secondary to his desire to explore other topics. I am not looking to watch and listen to Will's version of "Prairie Home Companion," which is what his show reminds me of. His folksy interviews with friends and others do nothing for the news time slot. And they are boring to watch. I want to hear professional reporting on all the news around our nation and the world. Field reporters should be doing interviews for his time slot, and he should be interacting with them. Instead he schmoozes his way through the hour and I'm left very disappointed.
