Such rich character development. My great sadness in reading a novel like Kingsolver's "Demon Copperhead" is that it ends. There is no way not to get deeply involved in the lives of people like Demon, Angus, Miss Annie, June, Dori, Tommy, Maggot, Mrs. Peggott, et. al. So the book concludes but not the lives of these new friends of whom our only access now is in our imaginations. Even so, don't miss this book. It is every bit a Pulitzer Prize triumph!
